Join the celebration of America’s 250th and the 30-year parade tradition in Galesville!
All are invited to attend for free.
For watching comfort, bring towels or chairs to sit on.
Location & Route:
Staging will begin at 12:30 PM on Lerch Creek Drive and Anchors Way. The Parade route will be 1.2 miles beginning on Main Street at Anchors Way, continuing along Galesville Road, Main Street, E. Benning Road, W. Benning Road, and returning to Anchors Way.
Road Closure:
Roads close around 12:45 PM and will remain closed for about an hour. Plan ahead for travel and parking.
Participation:
Show off your patriotic spirit by decorating your bike, car, tractor, dog, or just come to enjoy the parade.

Welcome to the Parade! We are delighted to have individuals and groups who want to share in the family-oriented fun event! Please read the following guidelines carefully. We want to keep the parade safe and fun for everyone!
Be sure that you give other parade participants room both in front and behind you.
Keep up with the parade! If you start to slow down for some reason, move aside and rejoin.
All vehicles and bicycles must be operated in a safe manner, so as not to endanger participants or spectators.
NO WHEELIES, FAST SPEEDS, or UNSAFE ACTS
Please be respectful to the community with your signs and symbols.
NO FOUL LANGUAGE, NO INFLAMATORY SIGNS, NO FLAGS OR SIGNS THAT MIGHT BE OFFENSIVE TO SOMEONE, WE ARE HERE TO HAVE FUN AND CELEBRATE OUR NATION’S BIRTHDAY, NOT TO HAVE A POLITICAL DEBATE!
