4th of July parade
The annual GHS 4th of July parade will take place on Thursday 7/4/13 @ 1 PM. Staging will begin on Anchors Way and Lerch Creek Rd at 12 noon. The parade route will be the same as years of history have proven to delight the crowds and participants. Free parking is available around the community to include the athletic fields, Galesville Hall and church lots. Questions concerning participation should be directed to Charlie Kidd @ 410 867 4952 or Bill Whitman @ 443 254 2081. Bring a beach towel, or folding chair and enjoy our lovely village and a down home town event.
Main St will be closed from 12:45 PM for approximately 1 (one) hour. The People's White House and Washington Monument are closed, the National Mall will have no entertainment, come relax and enjoy the pride and fun of a Norman Rockwell old time parade. In fact be part of the parade. NO entrance fees and NO fireworks. Many awards and trophies to be presented. |
